What’s not in a standard clean
We love a thorough clean — but a few tasks sit outside a standard Klean Bean clean. We’re upfront about them so there are no surprises, our team stays safe, our $20M insurance stays valid, and your results stay consistent.
Good news: most of the items below can still be arranged as a specialist or add-on service. If you need something on this list, just ask and we’ll quote it separately or point you to the right specialist.
Heights & safety
- Anything beyond safe reach (above a 2-step ladder)
- Exterior windows above ground level
- Roofs, gutters and downpipes
- High ceilings, beams or light fittings out of safe reach
Biohazards & bodily fluids
- Blood, urine, faeces or vomit
- Used needles, sharps or drug paraphernalia
- Any cleanup posing a health or infection risk
Mould & damp
- Heavy, black or structural mould remediation
- Light surface mould is fine within a normal clean
- Underlying damp or leak issues (refer to a specialist)
Pests & vermin
- Insect or rodent infestations and droppings
- Dead animals or insects in volume
- Flea, pest or fumigation treatments
Hoarding & extreme build-up
- Hoarding or condemned conditions
- Heavy waste removal or extreme neglect
- Assessed and quoted as a specialist deep clean
Heavy lifting & moving
- Moving heavy furniture or appliances
- Relocating white goods to clean behind them
- We’ll clean around and lightly behind where safe
Pets & animal waste
- Litter trays, kennels and cages
- Animal mess or accidents
- Light pet-area tidying by arrangement
Outdoor & exterior
- Driveways, patios, decks and balconies
- Garages, sheds and BBQs
- Pressure washing (available by quote)
Inside appliances
- Oven interiors (available as an add-on)
- Fridge & freezer interiors (add-on)
- Dishwasher and washing-machine internals
Specialist cleaning
- Carpet steam cleaning & upholstery shampoo
- Tile regrouting and sealing
- Post-fire, flood or smoke restoration
Chemical-intensive tasks
- Heavy rust, lime scale or industrial degreasing
- Jobs needing harsh chemicals outside our low-tox range
- Available by arrangement where safe and suitable
Valuables & fragile items
- Antiques, artwork and collectibles
- Internals of electronics and screens
- Irreplaceable or high-value items — please secure these
